About

What We Do

At Pinwheel, we create art.

As visual storytellers, we combine our crafts of photography & cinematography to tell the stories of your world…whether at home or in the workplace!

FOR FAMILIES

As a husband and wife team, we have found that combining our crafts has allowed us to create something very unique and beautiful for people who are just exactly that: very unique and beautiful. We love to capture real families doing real things, because those are the memories that will be cherished for years to come. In the end, an art piece is formed – a story is told. The best part is, it’s your story. You are the art. The result is something that goes well beyond the scope of a product and becomes a significant gift for you and your kids…and your kids’ kids! Let us caution you, though, this experience just might slay your emotions and cause smothering bouts of affection among your loved ones!

FOR ORGANIZATIONS

At Pinwheel, we love to bring art to the industries around us. We believe the words of John Ruskin, that ‘industry without art is brutality’. Artistry draws attention to the heart of things, to the story that exists behind the hustle and bustle of any venture. Through visual storytelling, we draw out the uniqueness of a thriving business or organization. We believe that great stories exist right where you are: in your office, boardroom, and in the homes of your customers and employees. Our team handcrafts each story through the fusion of interviews, cinematography, and photography to create not just a promotional piece, but an art piece that connects others to the heart of your story.

Process

How We Do It

Step 1: Let's grab coffee!

The first step in creating your Motion Picture is for us to meet [at your home or office preferably] to hear your story and get a sense of your style and personality. We can go over products and pricing then too. We work best with coffee, so put on your finest pot and rally the troops for some conversation and questions about what makes your story unique. We prefer medium roasts [wink]. To schedule this meet and greet, contact us here.

Step 2: Your Creative Session

Upon booking a session with us, you can choose between a 2 and 6 hour creative session (includes both video and photo) in the location that best suites you. Our style is creative and photojournalistic, so we prefer settings that will allow us to capture real moments and connections between the subjects of the film. The Pinwheel process is an experience, and we want you to enjoy it every step of the way!

Step 3: Motion Picture Premiere

After pouring heart and soul into creating art to tell your story, we will meet one final time to unveil your Motion Picture and still images!

Elouise Couture

Elouise Couture

The designer behind Elouise Couture is as delightful and enchanting as the dresses she has created! Spend five minutes with her and those five minutes will be cheery as a sunrise at the beach. This, along with the passion and delight Elouise has in the color, flow, and femininity of these dresses were the focus of…

Jim & Meredith…

Jim & Meredith…

As a Tampa native and boat enthusiast, we took Jim and his southern bride to Harbor Island to capture their fun-loving spirit. They met two years ago through mutual friends, and many boat-rides and Tampa visits later, they got married! Their Motion Picture enabled wedding guests, who came from far and wide, to hear more…

Sanctuary

Sanctuary

The quote below, from Donald Miller’s Blue Like Jazz, was read at our wedding 7 years ago and then again at our vow renewal last November. Marriage is no joke. It has provided a place for both intense trial and deep beauty. At times it is like wildfire, other times it feels more like a sanctuary. We like…

Resurrection…

Resurrection…

In a culture of busyness and clutter, we invite you into the melodic pause of this Motion Picture. Our creative collaboration with Rachel, was simply for the joy of it! [She was gracious to let us steal her away for a sunrise shoot, and let us capture her heart through dance] Our goal was to blend…

A Miracle…

A Miracle…

*A word of caution: though this Motion Picture is entirely family friendly, there is a scene of a baby in critical condition.* Miracle // 1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause. 2. a wonder; marvel.
